Hey I’m Andy
A proud Financial Independence (FI) achiever at the age of 35. My journey has been anything but traditional, and that’s exactly what I want to share with you.
After serving in the New Zealand Army and working in Government Security, I transitioned to a role in Cyber Security Awareness and Education for a large bank in Australia. However, during the global pandemic, I made the bold decision to move to Panama—a choice that marked the start of my journey toward redefining what financial freedom means.
Today, I pay my bills and grow my portfolio using options trading, while also buying digital assets and publishing books on Amazon through KDP. As a finance blogger and the creator of the Geo-Arbitrage FIRE Retire Abroad Community I’m passionate about helping others discover how geo-arbitrage can accelerate their path to early retirement.
But life isn’t all spreadsheets and trading charts. I’m a hiker at heart and have completed numerous long-distance treks of over 500 kilometres across Europe and the UK. Having lived in four countries so far, I’m preparing to move to my fifth in 2025—all while learning Spanish (currently B1-B2 level) and studying part-time for a degree through a university in New Zealand.
This blog is my way of giving back by sharing the lessons I’ve learned about living a financially independent, retire-early (FIRE) lifestyle. My approach is different: I focus on using geo-arbitrage to supercharge wealth accumulation, reinvestment, and savings rates. My mission is to empower you to retire decades earlier, on your own terms, in the country of your choice.
