Before a company reports, implied volatility (IV) surges as traders bet on what’s coming. That demand sends premiums through the roof — and when earnings drop, IV collapses.

That’s why I don’t buy options here — I sell them. Covered Calls and Cash-Secured Puts before earnings let you collect inflated premiums while others gamble.

Just one rule: only trade stocks you’re happy to own if assigned.

Earnings season isn’t chaos — it’s a payday for the patient.
